Here is my second vento- picked it up down in cork,my own car took a slide on the ice,so i needed something cheap and handy to get around in for christmas.

anyway plans are...

JUST DRIVE IT....

after a quick wast

but like all plans. i got carried away and ended up cleaning it up and putting some use to my stock pile of spare parts

a bit of a clean up
my audi pepper pots
8v Gti brakes
Vr6 front splitter
mk3 front with angel eye lights with rusted bonnet soon to be replaced with a new bonnet
5door Gti arches
nice chrome back box
chrome strut brace
G2 coilovers-not sure yet-as i like having a car i can drive and not be worried about speed bumps

and all these are all spare parts. giving myself the challenge to use just the parts i have, and put the car together as fast as possible and get it back out driving.

my new pepper pots

Vr6 front splitter

5door mk3 Gti arches

gave the car a quick wash today with the power waster.. and had severe laquer peel, i didnt realise the paint on the roof was as bad until the power washer hit it, left big streeks and pulled the laquer right off..

peel of laquer

soo decided to repaint the roof, stared sanding the roof...took to long so back out to the power washer and blasted the paint right off smile.gif

back into the garage and sanded down all the edges and any laquer that didnt lift. removed one of the rian gutters,

degreased, and the shead warmed and i was ready to paint.

only paint i had was a black...so black it was.

gave the mirrors a lick of paint aswel.. turned up the heat and left it to dry
ven-to-the-o
tomorrow if i have time im going to get the exhaust fitted, and the Vr6 front splitter. im sure i have some mud guards in the garage somewhere aswel.

still debating on the coilovers, as i like the ride height...wel..sortof.

going with the audi pepper pots,so i have to run an adapter,so the wheel will be pushed out a nice bit so not sure how much i can actually drop it.

put the car back together, rain gutters back on

fitted the vr6 front splitter aswel

black roof turned out grand, no dribbles so i was happy smile.gif

also the mirrors turned out grand, had some bugs that stuck to the mirrors and my effort to remove them wasnt great,so stuck a sticker over the marks smile.gif

have severe laquer peel on the boot,so il either get a boot rack to cover it, or paint it black -same as the roof. not sure yet.

the boot was always bothering me, and after a long drive the lacquer was lifting and looked shoite.

so back out to the power washer and blasted off the rest of the lacquer, cleaned it up, then spent a little while with some masking tape.Never again.took way to dam long.

all masked off and will be painting it tomorrow if there is some better weather

also swapped my Vento front for full mk3 front with a member from here.
so have a new bonnet and grille to go on..take off the rusted bonnet as it kind of had that abandoned car look that i dont really want right now tongue.gif

since the last update-
iv fitted my roof rack for moving around my surfboards
cleaned it up a little bit more

picked up a very clean set of E30 alloys and put new tires on it- and just been having fun driving it.
plan to cover the entire bonnet in stickers or else do some star wars graphics.

fitted the badge, and cut the vento "cl" part off so now it just reads "vento"

here it is with a trial fit of the new audi pepper pots

and here it is sitting on the E30 alloys-nice and tidy.
have a set of coilovers next to fit.needs to go a bit lower tongue.gif

might be interested in the spliter and skirts.
keeping the lights i like the angle eyes and i am currently running with HIDs.

i have my corrado lowering springs suspension in the front, as it failed first time with the standard vento springs. so i need just one standard vento spring(s) thats in good condition. i have one good one and one that nct failed.. but replaced both with my rado ones. but i want to get those springs back in my corrado.

dont really want to do too much to the car, just drive it, maybe a sub and amp and find the bits of the front spliter that i lost on the motorway tongue.gif
