yeah the next plan is to lower her but it'll have to wait till the new year before that happens!
Saw a gorg golf in grey around liffey valley yday with german plates, also had black vw badges and that got me thinking of doing them next but dunno if it'll be too much on a black car?

@ Flanders - Lovely motor if it was yours, its wher i'm aiming to have mine looking by early next year. Whats the best way goin about the black badges. was it easy to remove the rear badge or did you buy a black one?
@yaeger - the misses got it for me for present but as far as i know Halfords have them for sale for €225. Halfords say free fitting but T&C apply and of course the Golf mkV is not included in it. They were charging €80 - €100 for fitting. Plus you needed to get another part to fit to the back of the standard radio costing €30. bit rough when your goin be spending half of what the unit costs.
Instead I got the part on ebay for less than a fiver and fitted it myself. Took about 3 hours to fit - there were few tricky parts with the wiring but all in all not too bad. I followed a link in the ICE section here. someone did a v.good write up on it.
The unit itself I find great - no problems as of yet - I leave my ipod touch connected all the time and no bother. very easy to use & would recommend one!

V V V easy to remove both front and back....
then all is needed is some fine sand paper wet and dry...scuff the chrome
apply a few light layers of preferred colour/finish giving bit of time between coats
let them dry for a bit then clearcoat laquer.bobs your uncle.
where are you based>?

If I get time over the weekend they'll be done - hopefully won't make a mess of them.
Also should have GTI sideskirts this side of xmas.
Do you have the H&R cup kit on yours? hows the ride compared to standard sport?
Based in Celbridge - how about yourself?

Cheers for offer, think goin leave them for the moment - still in two minds! Goin try get my hands on a GT front bumber think the black VW badge suits better on that rather than mine one.
Surprised haven't seen you around maynooth i work up around the biz campus and do be down the town quite alot.
How much the sideskirts set you back?
