It's an old Wizard kit i think, meant to look like a 1940 Ford. Each to their own but doesn't do it for me

I can see where they were going as Glenn outlined but not sure if it got there.
But....
you only just got the motor so lets see you apply your own creativity to it
Best of luck with it either way.

I try to be openminded about these things but sometimes you just can't avoid that fact that something it completely wrong.
I reckon a set of pre '67 wings and sloping headlights, a long '60s bonnet, a repaint in a nicer colour and good whack with the lowering stick and it'll start to look better.
it's awful as-is but might make for a nice project. I'll be interested to see the result. If you need any parts let me know, I have a loft full of beetle stuff...

...never the easiest on the eye the old wizard coupe, even back in the day; - beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose... the roof line always looked a bit 'odd'...
...its had the original beetle lid whipped off and the coupe roof 'glassed on'; I'd check that its been properly reinforced around the front door pillars and rear quarters; ...the kit came in DIY form back in the day, and the imprtant welding to the shell was often skipped over...
It must have some sort of retro value; you might even be able to punt that front bonnet top a vw rat rodder, you never know as they say....
didnt you have a blue turbo kitted one awhile back Ed?? I am not a fan of either, but I'd prefer the turbo kitted example....

Front clip might suit someone building a V8 Volks rod or something with a front mount rad. Unless you
really want to keep the Wizard as it was originally built, I'd seriously consider replacing it.
Still, slammed, with skinnies up front, and a pair of meats out the back, I reckon you could have a sweet little motor!

Could look cool if sprayed matt black. Could take the pimp my ride element away from it.

With a standard bonnet it mightn't look half as bad..
But then again half a piece of shit, is still just a smaller piece of shit...

yeah, had the turbo fitted one but swapped it with that bmw with the testarossa kit which i swapped than with this one...just swapped it cause tought i made a good swap as the bmw had a load of work to do ,was badly rusted and at some points rotten underneath the kit ...and dont have the time...trying to get the caddy ready....but the girlfriend likes this beetle so might keep it too...
want to change the front ...but still thinking of something different...hope i can do something with it!!
want to drive the caddy soooooooooooooooooon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well...went for a drive today with the bug...didn't had the space to put the pram from the our daughter...till i took a look at the nose....cause the nose is higher up i could put the pram in the front..so it comes in handy....might keep it that way...

found the site from these kits...not that bad after all and its nice drive...drives like a go kart:
The Super Coupe is a full conversion that replaces the roof with a fibreglass one to give a 'Willys' look. With two bonnet styles available, it's a real head turner!
it was an american company who builded it and moved to the uk.
