Bout time i put up some pics of this. As you can see its a 5 door oakie 8v.
Just throwin these up now but should have proper pics tomorrow and i'll throw up a list of specs then.
This will give you an idea though.
Let me know what ye think of it.

this is one of the cleanest and well kept examples of a mk2 8v you will come accross!..love this car

Looking good lad, that was my old machine,i had it for over a year. ye its lowered 60mm, i did it myself. reg plates look good on it. thats a fast little car. have you done much work to it since you got it.? i did a lot of work to that car, it was one sad looking sight when i bought her.

why would you set up the intake like that? its sucking in tons of hot air, just a question, not trying to start anything..take off the first bend at the tb and refit itll be way better and place filter where it should be

just playing around with few different ideas,got late so left it at that for tonight,want something different but not sure what,its only reving to 5000rpm now guessing its down to the setup???

no its down to the ignition timing, although warm intake air aint helping things either

the amount of bends in the intake tract is making it hard too..

the hot air is causing detonation leading to the knock sensor sensing pinking thus pulling the timing.

its all been done thats the thing, do me a favour, bolt a g60 to a gtd and fit that, im anxious as to how it would go and sound.

ive actualy thought of a g60 diesel before but i dont want a diesel mk2,what about super and turbo charged?has anyone here ever done this in a mk2?

Standard airbox, drilled and a K&N or similar panel filter will give you the "noise" you want and give better results than a cone filter, as Brian said, due to the heat in the engine bay. If you want to keep your cone, put it where it's meant to be and build a heat shield for it.

im not really after noise to be honest,just something nice looking without losing power.
