the clocks in the girlfriends car are going haywire on start up. The rev and spedo go from 0 to max an startup. sometimes the spedo stays at 80mph and the rev stays at 0 so when you're doing 20 the clock says you're doing 100 and when the rev counter says you're doing 2k rpm you're actually doing 3k rpm. So are the clocks fubar or can they be repaired? if they can't be repaired and have to be replaced to i have to get the new/replacments have to be re coded?
the car was registered in 01 but it was manufactured in '99 (found this out when doing the brakes) if that makes any differance.

yeh clocks will have to be recoded and keys will need to be adapted to immo

Any yoke Ive seen doing this Trev turned out to be bad earths somewhere.....granted the cars were 3 yrs older than yours but still...worth a mention....Having said that, I dont know if its normal for Audi dashes to go gaga like this, it might be...
