Ok lads do any of you know if the cruise control stalk from a2007 passat be fitted to a 2005 gti? Is it just the stalk needed and some coding??

From looking at etka i don't think so. The passat stalks (left and right) come as one unit and the golf's come separately.
This is the kit you need: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CRUISE-CONTROL-KIT-G...=item5d29a477ff Some cars have that wire in the kit already, but you wont know until you take off the wheel. There's also a very slim chance the steering wheel control module isn't compatible with c/c but i mean VERY slim chance.
